It is a common phenomenon in the practice of insurance affairs that the carrier insures the cargo transportation insurance. The disputes arising from it often focus on whether the carrier has an insurable interest in the cargo carried, which leads to a series of contract problems. This paper studies and judges the legal status of the carrier through analyzing the insurance interests under the cargo insurance purchased by the carrier. On the basis of recognizing that the carrier has insurance interests under cargo insurance, this paper tries to clarify the contractual effectiveness and beneficiaries of the carrier^,s cargo insurance, and tries to avoid risks for enterprises and escort the development of the insurance market at the practical level.
